SCAD Productions

The following productions were held during the Spring 2018 quarter. I held various positions on each project and they were all great experiences that reminded me why I started in theater in the first place.

Destination Imagination

DI is an interactive, virtual reality experience that has been done during SCAD Day in both the Spring and Fall 2018 quarters. Spring was it’s first run and I was the Art Director for the project. It was part of the SOEA class, and I helped call the show, assemble and paint the set. Final photos by Charlie Otte.

BFT was a student’s thesis brought to life. It was an interactive production where the audience stood on stage with the actors and walked through the sets as the play happened. This was another project from the SOEA class and I helped paint and assemble/strike the set. Final photos by Charlie Otte.

Smokey Joe’s Cafe

SJC was the final production put on in Spring 2018, that was a musical review of a collection of famous songs, a lot of which were originally written and performed by African American singers. As the Assistant Scenic Designer, I helped paint and distress the windows, as well as research, select, arrange and program in the images that would be projected throughout the show. Final photos by Mikaela Baird.

Selected Works

The following projects are some film productions that I have worked on outside of class. They are all films for other students I have met during my time at SCAD.

Tissues

This music video about love and relationships was the first film project that I worked on. The video involves dance which is something I’ve loved for a long time, so this was a great way to get introduced to the film side of things at SCAD.

DUO

Fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural etc., type films are the kind of films I want to work on, so when the opportunity to work on Duo came about, I had to take it. It’s a Black Mirror-esque type film about a little boy who gets an Ally Duo set for his birthday but finds himself battling if he should go against his parents and society when he tried to go against the manual.
